Rihanna and A$AP Rocky kept the gender of their first child a secret from the public and revealed the gender of their son only after the birth in May of last year. However, fans are now speculating about the gender of their next child based on some recent photos of Rihanna out shopping. In the pictures, the singer can be seen checking out a pastel pink romper, leading someone to believe that she may be expecting a girl.
That being said, Rihanna was also seen shopping for girls’ clothes during her first pregnancy, despite giving birth to a boy. It’s entirely possible that she was just shopping for a friend’s child. Rihanna has yet to share the due date for her second child or provide many other details beyond the fact that she and Rocky are expanding their family.
In an interview with British Vogue, Rihanna talked about Rocky’s desire for a son. “Rocky wanted to know. He wanted a boy… At first he was open about a girl, then he was like, ‘Nah, I want a boy, I’m sure.’ I was just like, ‘Lord, please let this man get what he wants…'” Now that they’ve had a son, Rihanna is open to having a child of either sex. “Listen, I’m down for whatever,” she said in an interview conducted prior to her second pregnancy announcement. “My wish would be to have more kids, but whatever God wants for me, I’m here. I’m open [to whatever baby gender next]. Girl, boy. Whatever.”
